Ang Pau/Hong Bao/Lai See

These works on paper explore the intergenerational transfer of ideas, culture, and trauma patterns as well as inherited beliefs and narratives. Ang pau (Hokkien), also known as hong bao (Mandarin) or lai see (Cantonese) refers to the traditional practice of exchanging lucky money in red envelopes between elders and youth in a family.
